We will work with you to determine your goals.  Do you want to lose bodyfat and tone up? Strengthen your core?  All of the above? The first step is determining what your personal goals are. Then we embark on a journey with you to achieve them.


assessing your fitness level

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses.  On your first day in the gym we give you a fitness test to find out what your strengths and weaknesses are.  We will discover if you have any injuries we need to work around, what your level of cardio strength is and how flexible you are.  This marks our starting point and educates your trainer about your fitness level and how hard to push you.


TALKING NUTRITION

We take you shopping and you give you a cooking lesson.  At Zen Fitness, we help teach you about nutrition and its critical role for your optimum health.  Your shopping tour and in-kitchen cooking lesson demonstrates sustainable grocery trips with delicious food.  This service is a fundamental aspect of your Zen Fitness training.


The workouts begin 

Your improvement is essential.  We keep pushing you just enough that your weekly goals are achieved.  Your workouts are designed for your total body fitness.  This includes a variety of strength training exercises, cardio training, and flexibility training.  Our goal is to keep your workouts challenging and interesting so that you don't get bored.


SEEING THE CHANGE

The most rewarding part is when you see your body begin to change. You get stronger, you have less aches and pains and your energy increases while you experience better sleep... and all the while your confidence grows.  Life gets better as you reclaim your health and we are with you every step of the way.
